Cinnamon vs. the Calico Cat
Hey everybody! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week! I wanted to share a good story with you about Cinnamon! Enjoy!
My mom was walking with Cinnamon this morning like always with her best friend Barbara and all three of her dogs and ended the walk down the street at Barbara’s house. Cinnamon was having the time of her life. She loves going on walks with my mom, but what she loves most is going on walks with Barbara and her dogs. They’re all good friends!
This time things went wrong, way wrong.
All of a sudden, there was a tiny calico cat standing by one of the houses nearby glaring down at all the dogs. Cinnamon and Rose, one of Barbara’s dogs, saw that cat instantly and it was arching it’s back towards them. The second Cinnamon saw that calico cat it was all over. Cinnamon slipped out of the blue leash she was in and took off running at top speed like a cheetah after that cat. She was gone.
So of course my mom was freaking out wondering what to do next since Cinnamon didn’t seem to be coming back anytime soon. She really thought she’d never see her again, so she pulled her hands up and yelled out, “Cinnamon!” as loud as she possibly could. Then she called out to her again and again clapping her hands trying to get Cinnamon to come back.
Next, Barbara came over to her to help calling out Cinnamon’s name, too. She looked around and still no Cinnamon.
Silence.
After all of that pain and agony, Cinnamon came running back to my mom. She stopped chasing after that cat and came back right in front of my mom and sat down. S my mom said, glaring down at her, “No Cinnamon! No! Don’t ever do that again!”
My mom said that Barbara said that Rose was proud of Cinnamon for chasing after that cat after it was all over. Haha when I heard that I could not stop laughing!
Who knew right? I didn’t think that was gonna happen but it did. I guess I should’ve known that cus Cinnamon loves hanging out with my mom and Barbara she would’ve never ran away for good! I guess that calico cat got lucky this time.
When I heard this story I couldn’t believe it! I was so glad that my Cinnamon baby came back home or else she would’ve kept running after that silly cat. My mom on the other hand, not so much. She was very upset with Cinnamon. Oh boy! Cinnamon sure was sad for awhile after that sitting on the couch. I don’t think she’ll ever do that again!
Cinnamon’s National Dog Day!

Cinnamon: Don’t Blow Up Balloons Give Me Cuddles!
This morning, I couldn’t stop laughing my mom and sister have been blowing up balloons for Vacation Bible School at our church this week, so now there are a ton of colorful balloons scattered all on the floor. At the same time, we were all watching Heartland on Netflix which is a great show by the way! I’m hooked!
All of a sudden, while they were halfway done with blowing up the balloons, Cinnamon came out of nowhere, went straight up to my sister and gave her this look like Hey, don’t blow up balloons, give me cuddles instead!
My sister stopped for sec and started giving Cinnamon some head-rubs. Boy did she love that. She loved it so much that she got close to my sister and sat down right in front of her begging like more, more, more! It was so cute!
Then, to make it even better she started going lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick to my sister’s hand. She was doing that for a long time! Silly nut!
Then, my sister said, “Uh, Cinnamon are you ok? You never come over like this! What are you doing?”
I knew exactly why Cinnamon came over she wanted a spot on the couch. She was waiting there to cuddle with us on the couch. So, I scooted over a bit and sure enough the second I said, “Cinnamon ya wanna sit on the couch with us baby?” She was up on the couch!
Cinnamon sat right in the middle of us!
At first, Cinnamon was all happy sitting in the middle of my sister and I. She’s like yay, yay, yay, I got a spot on the couch! That didn’t last long! See, when my sister started blowing up balloons again with a balloon pump, she freaked out, popped her head up and started staring at the balloons like what the heck is that?
Cinnamon sure didn’t like that balloon pump! It looked like she was gonna attack it or something!
A few minutes later, my mom started using her balloon pump too and the second she threw the new balloon on the floor Cinnamon again popped her head up and was like huh, huh, huh, what the? That scared the crap out of her! haha I couldn’t stop laughing! We hardly ever blow up balloons in the house! I guess Cinnamon didn’t like those things.
Then, Cinnamon was like I’m outta here! She sure didn’t want to stick around with all those balloons on the floor anymore or with my mom and sister both inflating balloons! I guess cuddling was over for now anyways. Poor baby! She hated the balloons so much that she left and went straight over to the door and sat there instead.
Later, after my mom and sister put all the balloons in some black bags, Cinnamon came back over on the couch and took my sister’s spot again. haha She’s like good its safe now I can relax again, I sure hope they don’t bring those things out again!
Well, this was an interesting morning! I wonder what else Cinnamon’s gonna do today! She’s so funny! Never a dull moment here! Hope you all have a great week!
Cinnamon: Don’t go on Vacation without me!
Hey guys! Its been awhile, just wanted to say that I took a break because last week I took a trip to see my family in Ohio. It was amazing I hadn’t seen them all in such a long time, so any time with them is a blessing! Except, right when we decided to go there, there was a huge storm. Nice huh? It wasn’t too bad though! Anyways, I am back now and ready to keep telling some good stories about Cinnamon again!
It was funny because the night right before we went on vacation all of our luggage was sitting right in front of our TV. We were all running around getting ready, packing all of our clothes trying not to forget anything.
Later, when we were almost done with all the packing, all of a sudden Cinnamon ends up laying by the luggage all sad and depressed.
Poor baby! She’s like don’t go on vacation without me! She knew we were going somewhere. Geez, when I saw her doing that I said, “haha, too bad we can’t pack her in our suitcase and take her with us!”
Then, my sister said, “She wouldn’t like that at all!”
So, true but that would’ve been funny no doubt! Funny thing is, after saying that earlier, while we were at the airport I literally saw two people taking their mini dogs on the trip with them. Sheesh! I didn’t know you could do that, or else I would’ve actually taken Cinnamon with us!
Later, when we came back. We went back to the Heavenly Pet Resort (yes, thats where we dropped her off earlier). The name of that place is hilarious, but its true when we went there to pick her up right after we got off the plane coming home a week later, that place really was a heavenly stay for dogs! I looked at the back area and it looked like paradise back there, like Hawaii! She must’ve had some vacation there without us!
When the lady finally brought out Cinnamon, she popped out around the corner of the doorway, and she was so pretty! They gave her a bath. She ended up with these cute pink and white ribbons in her hair and a cute pink bandana around her neck to match with strawberry shortcake on it. When my sister and I saw her we were like “Awww!!”
The second Cinnamon saw us she was bouncing off the wall, running around the room like a crazy energizer bunny. She kept running around and around in circles, my sister and I couldn’t even catch her. She was like you’re back, you’re back, you’re back, you’re back!
haha we couldn’t stop laughing. Jeez, Cinnamon usually goes crazy when she sees us, but this time she took it to the next level. She was like what you guys are here? She was going so crazy that while my mom tried to pay the bill for Cinnamon’s stay at that Pet Resort we tried to catch her, so she’d stop running and we could go home, but she would not stop. Aw, baby she missed us! I hadn’t realized how much I had missed her too til I saw her again.
I finally caught her by the way, but she still kept trying to squirm out of my arms while I held her. Silly nut!
When we got back in the car with her, a lot of our luggage was sitting in between my sister and I in the back seat, but we decided to have Cinnamon sit with us back there. Yeah, that didn’t work very well! Cinnamon started off on my sister’s lap, then all of a sudden she walked over the luggage in between us, and jumped on my lap. Actually it was more like my stomach. Ow! That hurt pretty bad, then she started staring out my window. haha then she started staring at my mom. Then, I started giving her some head rubs and boy did she love that!
Two seconds later, Cinnamon jumped back over to my sister’s lap and stayed there for awhile. Then, she wanted to come back to my side and i said, whoa, Cinnamon no way! Stay over there with Emily!”
She gave me this look like but Paula I wanna go over there with you! Then, she still bounced back right into my ribs. Jeez, she is so funny! Boy was she excited to see us! She didn’t even know what to do with herself!
When we finally got her home, Cinnamon was so happy she started running around the house following my mom around to the kitchen the bathroom, downstairs, then upstairs.
Then when she was done with that, I found her all curled up in a ball on the couch again like normal.
Home sweet home! Cinnamon is back! I was so happy! I think she missed it at our house too, so much so that, ever since then she’s been coming up on the couch more often getting super close to me.
It’s funny cus in Ohio, my aunt and grandma have a huge fluffy golden retriever named Paco and a crazy striped cat named Ollie who always gets in trouble. I got to see them at least once every day, and they reminded me of Cinnamon. Good times!
I’m glad I went to Ohio, but I’m even happier now that I’m back cus now I get to hang out with Cinnamon again. I missed her like crazy! She’s my best friend, my buddy, my pal!
hope you all have a great weekend I know Cinnamon and I will! We have already been cuddling together all day on the couch! Good times huh! I can’t wait to see what other crazy thing she does next!

Hey guys, hope you are all having a great week! Last Friday, my sister, Cinnamon, and I headed off to Creekside Park in Walnut, Ca and boy did she have a great time! Cinnamon sure loved it and so did my sister and I. It was super hot that day, but still fun! I got some good pics, so enjoy!!

Cinnamon & The 200 Followers!
Hi everyone! Guess what Funny Dog Moments just hit 200 followers. I can’t believe it! I just wanted to take the time to say thanks for every one of you who has been following me. I love telling funny stories of Cinnamon my awesome cocker spaniel/poodle to all of you. It means a lot that you guys come and look at my blog!
I can’t believe it! I started off with this blog about a year ago and believe me I had no idea what a huge impact it would make on people or that I would end up doing well on it. It’s been an amazing ride and I’d also like to say that I’m glad that I wrote about Cinnamon and all of our crazy walks and the silly pics of her sitting on my couch and playing around with my sister and I. Just thinking back on that, thinking of all the great memories I wrote about throughout this time brings a huge smile to my face. I hope you all continue enjoying my funny dog moments with Cinnamon!
I also want to say thanks to Cinnamon, who has been the center of this blog and my life. She means everything to me. She’s only been with me for about 6 years now, but she’s part of the family now. She’s like a little baby, always cuddling with me all the time and then the next second she’s off barking like crazy under the window at a cat! Jeez. She sure is a handful sometimes, but I love her very much! She is my best friend!
This blog just keeps growing and getting better and better. Can’t wait to keep going, to keep posting up more pics of Cinnamon I am so grateful again for all of you who have been supportive out there, even my family too and friends. Blogging wasn’t always easy for me at times, so to be able to stick with this and keep going when I felt like quitting made all the difference!
So again thank you! Cinnamon and I are so happy that we got 200 bloggers following us now!
